Russell C. Fahrer

Russell C. Fahrer age 80 of Temperance, Mi passed away Wednesday March 3, 2021 at St. Anne’s Hospital. Russell was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 1, 1940 to Alva and Hazel (Huttinger) Fahrer. He was a retired employee of General Motors where he retired from after 31 years. Russell had the great ability to tinker and fix just about anything. He had been awarded many accommodations for his innovative ideas to make many General Motors patents work easier and more efficient. Russell enjoyed traveling to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and many other places. He was known by everyone as a very humorous person, one that everyone could count on. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and the ability to share it with all, but most of all he was an extraordinary family man. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Sandy, sister Susie and brother Bud. Russell is survived by his wife of 21 years Carol (Ford) Fahrer, son Tom (Barb) Fahrer, daughter Kim (Mike) Sanderlin, step-children Patty (Allen) Epperson, Timothy (Kimberly) Anteau, Samantha (Ron) Price and Carmen (Don) Price, 14 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Angie Smilo, Kathy Kemley, Dorie Bash and Betty Lombardo. The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home 5055 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday March 9, 2021 from 1:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
