Gerald N. Sekulski, 86, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on July 15, 2026, at his home with family by his side. He was born on July 19, 1939, to Felix and Josephine (Dominiak) Sekulski. Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Macomber High School where he studied Automotive Trades. Thankful to friends that introduced him to his wife Patricia (Bady), to whom he was married for 60 years.

Jerry spent nearly 50 years as an auto electrician and co-owner of Toledo Generator Service. "The shop" was an exciting place for his daughters who on Saturday mornings would spend hours running around wreaking havoc.

Outnumbered at home by his wife, four daughters, and their dog Cookie, Jerry was understandably a man of few words. He kept things simple; a dry delivery of "cute," "you turkey," or "nice going" let you know he was listening.

Jerry liked to fish and spent many family vacations at their favorite cottage on Rifle Lake, where he constantly baited hooks with worms and removed endless amounts of tiny sunfish. He enjoyed watching his daughters play sports both in high school and college and later tracking his grandchildren's events by watching replays on TV.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Pat, daughters, Sheryl (Kevin) O’Shea, Karen (Phil) Harris, Kim (Al) Horton, Pam (DJ) Harris; his grandchildren, Jordan (Jeff), MacKenzie, Jeremiah (Haley), Jaycie (Alex), Ryan, Jackie, Rylie, Logan and Alan; his great-grandchildren, Josie, Miles and Collins; his sister-in-law Marcie (Ken) Kasprzak; his nephew Kevin (Bridget) Kasprzak and his niece Julie Brady. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother-in-law Betty and Robert Walinski.

We are greatly appreciative of the support given to us by Hospice of NW Ohio. Especially to Megan who was always very calming and supportive. Please consider a donation to this worthwhile organization. While the family appreciates your prayers, funeral services and interment will be held privately for the immediate family. Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.”

Private funeral services and burial have been entrusted to the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio.
