Marilyn Marie Shinaberry, age 87 of Lambertville, MI passed away August 18, 2026, in Aspen Grove. Marilyn was born June 30, 1939, to Joseph and Helen (Bombrys) Ricci. She graduated from Toledo's Whitney High School in 1958, where she was educated in the needle trades. She was a talented seamstress who made uniforms for the Sheraton Inn Westgate and made bridesmaids dresses for wedding parties. Marilyn married Robert Shinaberry in 1987 and at home she was known as the "Queen of Clean". In the early eighties, Marilyn worked at Champion Spark Plug. Later, she worked as a teller at Ohio Citizens Bank which became National City Bank and finally PNC Bank where she retired in 1995. Due to her wonderful personality, she was given many awards during her years working at the bank. Marilyn was very active at Christ the King Catholic Church, where she was head sacristan for many years and she also led the Medjugorje prayer group.
Surviving are her loving husband Robert, son, Wayne (Linda) Harris, and daughters Gina (Jim) Pietras and Brenda (Jim) Schulty and stepdaughter Tana (Dan) Iacoangeli. Also surviving are 11grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings, Joseph Ricci, Frank Ricci, Ruthie Merrit, Irene Bassler and twin sister Margie Lizcano.
Marilyn's Life Celebration will be held Monday August 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday August 25, in Christ the King Church 4100 Harvest Lane Toledo, Ohio where visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery Lambertville, MI. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the Alzehimers Association or Elara Caring Hospice of Michigan.
