Rondal "Ron" Lee Grant

April 2, 1940 — November 16, 2023

Rondal “Ron” Lee Grant passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 83, surrounded by his family in Southern California. He faced recent medical issues with courage and humor. He is now in heaven, likely entertaining family and friends with many Dad jokes.
Ron was ornery, a jokester, and a dreamer. He could talk to anyone and did. He loved to sing, dance, travel (especially cruises), fish, and remodel. He loved word puzzles and loved to play the lottery. More than anything, though, he loved his family with his whole heart.
Family meant everything to Ron, and he felt blessed that no matter how far apart they were, they loved one another immensely. It was no secret that he adored his wife, Barb, whom he was married to for 63 years, and he was extremely proud of his three children, their spouses, five grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Ron was born in Alva, Kentucky on April 2, 1940, and raised in Toledo Ohio, where he graduated from Whitmer High School in 1958. Ron and Barb raised their children in Temperance, Michigan. They enjoyed the past 33 years basking in the sunshine at their home in San Dimas, California where Ron retired from Real Estate and Property Management.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Zelpha Grant; sister, Barbara Jean Grant; and brother, Roy Grant. Ron is survived by his wife, Barbara (Adair) Grant. He is also survived by his three children and their spouses, Sheryl Cipolla (Lonn) of Sierra Madre, CA, Gregory Grant (Brenda) of Temperance, MI, and Stacy Harper (David) of Toledo OH. He leaves five grandchildren and spouses, Connor Cipolla (Sara), Laurel Peabody (Daniel), Grant Harper (Brooklin), Sydney Grant, and Paige Harper; and three great-grandchildren, Micah, Ani, and Sophene Cipolla. Ron’s sister, Debra Royalty (Gary) lives in Toledo, Ohio.
