Patricia Ann "Pat" Hennessy

Patricia Ann Hennessy “Pat” (McCoy) age 87 passed away quietly after a short illness at Hospice of NW Ohio in Sylvania, Ohio on December 7, 2023. Born May 25, 1936, in Grafton WVA to Robert and Catherine McCoy (Barlow), Pat was raised with one sister, Margaret (McCoy) Fuss, deceased and has one brother, Richard Appleby, of Houston Texas.

Pat married her childhood sweetheart and next-door neighbor, Thomas (Tom) Hennessy on November 25, 1954. Tom preceded her in death in 2017.

Surviving are her 3 children, daughter, Victoria Hennessy Walker (Edward) of Staunton, Virginia, son, Brian Hennessy (Mary Ann) of Rossford, Ohio and son, Dean Hennessy of Georgetown, Colorado. Preceding her in death were her great-grandson Michael and her stepfather Horace Appleby. Left to cherish her memory are 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pat was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and belonged to the Larchmont PTA when her children were young. She was a model and an artist in her youth and was a great caretaker for many children in the neighborhood for the working mothers. Always there for her neighborhood for 63 years, the young and the old, she had many local friends.

Pat’s family will be receiving friends Friday December 29, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church 4555 North Haven Toledo, Ohio, where her Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio is assisting the family. Contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church or Hospice of NW Ohio.
