Edward John Poczekaj

Edward John Poczekaj age 78 of Toledo, passed away February 3, 2022 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Edward was born in Toledo February 24, 1943 to John and Lucille (Pawlowski) Poczekaj. A 1961 graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School, he graduated from Xavier University and St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. He previously worked at the Toledo Hospital, the State of Ohio’s Physicians Effectiveness Program, Behavioral Connections of Wood County, Glenbeigh Treatment Center and Workplace Resources. He was a model railroader and an avid gardener. Ed was a member of the Toledo Harbor Light Society and volunteered at the National Museum of the Great Lakes.

Surviving are his loving wife Darlene, children, John (Deana) Poczekaj, Chandra (Jim) Gase and Sera Paule, sister Margaret Piasecki and 5 grandchildren, Kira, Inessa, Aston, Olivia and Liam.
