Clarence W. Moore Jr.

Clarence W. Moore Jr., “Dinny” age 92 of Temperance, MI formerly of Toledo, OH passed away April 30, 2022 at home. Clarence was born May 29, 1929 in Toledo to Clarence and Myrtle (Dankert) Moore Sr. Dinny was a 1947 Whitmer High School graduate where he played football and pole vaulted. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was also semi pro boxer and played football for the Toledo Tornados. Dinny married Nancy Curson in 1955 and together they raised two boys. He was a plasterer and tile mason for Moore Plastering and a truck driver for McLean Trucking for 25 years until they closed in 1986. Dinny worked for the Lucas Co. Road Crew until retiring in 1999. He was a tough, hard-working guy with a heart of gold who loved his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his loving children, Bradley (Jacki Scott) Moore and Patrick (Renee) Moore, sisters Phyllis (Mike) Trapt and Diana (Dan) Jeffries. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Delores and his wife of 64 years Nancy.

Clarence’s Life Celebration will be Thursday May 5, 2022 from 3 to 7 pm at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio. Visitation will continue Friday May 6, from 10-11 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church 4555 N. Haven Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43612, where the funeral Mass will begin at 11 am.
