Wiera Marie Payton

Wiera Marie Payton, age 47, of Maumee, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. She was born on September 25, 1977, in Toledo, Ohio, to Wayne and Alexandria (Czerniawski) Radsick.

Wiera was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School. She pursued a dedicated career in nursing, earning an associate’s degree from Owens Community College, a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University, and a master’s degree from Walden University. As a nurse practitioner, she served the Toledo community with compassion, most recently working for Pure Psych, Arrowhead Behavioral Healthcare, and Midwest Recovery Centers. Wiera was beloved by all who knew her, touching countless lives with her warmth and kindness.

On April 1, 1996, Wiera married Gregory Payton, and together they shared 29 joyful years. An adventurous spirit, she cherished traveling the world, spending time with her family, and deepening her faith in the Lord.

Wiera was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Donald Payton. She is survived by her loving husband, Gregory; her children, Ethan, Caleb, and Avery; and a host of other family members and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home (5055 Secor Road, Toledo, Ohio), on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery Toledo, Ohio.
