Theresa Danisovszky

Theresa Danisovszky, age 99, passed away surrounded by her family on September 27, 2025. She and her twin brother Joseph were born on September 23, 1926, to her parents Frank and Mary Nagy in Toledo, Ohio.

 A devout Catholic, Theresa prayed the rosary daily and was a longtime member of St. Stephen Parish, most recently attending St. Catherine of Siena. She was active in the Rosary Society, Mothers Club, parish festivals, the Hungarian Embroidery Club, and enjoyed time with friends at the East Toledo Senior Center where she enjoyed crocheting and bingo.

 Theresa graduated from Central Catholic High School and lovingly raised her family following the passing of her husband Stephen, in 1974. She was known as a caring supporter of her family, a wonderful cook and baker, and the biggest fan of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sports. She also cherished cheering for the Detroit Tigers and Toledo Mud Hens.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stephen, siblings Mary (Frank) Cser, Frank, Andrew, John, Joseph (Nancy) , and Martin (Judith) Nagy; granddaughter Andrea; and great-grandsons Colton and Talon. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen (Lawrence) Large, and sons Stephen (Linda), Leslie (Karen), and Mark. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Irene Meech.

 Visitation will be held at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday September 30, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be Wednesday October 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church where the funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to St. Catherine Parish, St. Stephen Parish, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
