In Loving Memory of Rodney Quinn
Rodney Quinn, age 69, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Merit House Nursing Facility, where he was a resident.
Rodney was born on February 28, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, to Gerald E. Quinn and Dorothea (Patterson) Quinn, who preceded him in death.
Rodney attended Spring Elementary School and Calvin M. Woodward High School. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he earned the Sharpshooter Medalin recognition of his marksmanship.
Following his military service, Rodney built a strong career through hard work and determination. He was employed at Toledo Jeep as a Certified Welder and later worked in maintenance at Ashland Manor, where he was respected for his skill, dependability, and commitment.
Rodney's faith was an important part of his life. He was a member of St. Paul AME Zion Church, where he sang in the Young Adult and Junior Choir. Later in life, Rodney rededicated his life to the Lord and became a faithful member of Lifeway Church, where he continued his spiritual journey.
Rodney was a man who cherished spending time with his family. He enjoyed good food, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and was known for his impeccable sense of style. His suits, hats, and shoes always had to coordinate perfectly. More than anything, Rodney treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Quinn-Lee, and his son, Rodney Quinn.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Cherylin Thomas, Natalie (Jerry) Hopkins, Rodney Quinn Jr., Ramsey (Sharetha) Quinn Sr., Roland (Eishawnia) Quinn Sr., Alexis (Jason) Holmes, Dannelle Mickles, Ryan R. Quinn, and Raechelle Quinn; his siblings, Kim (Duane) Richardson, Antoinette (Neail) Goodloe III, Anthony (Brooke) Quinn, and Quintin (Felicia) Quinn; along with 21 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
