Phyllis Maunz

Phyllis Ann Maunz age 85 of Toledo, Ohio died January 22, 2026, in Orchard Villa Nursing Home Oregon, Ohio. Phyllis was born in Detroit, MI. She was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Toledo Ohio, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Education from Mary Manse College. Phyllis received her master’s degree in religious studies from Aquinas College and taught for many years in Swanton, Ohio.

Phyllis was very intellectual and she had a great sense of humor. She was faith filled and dedicated to the Catholic Church. Phyllis lived to give service to others and cared for the homeless of Toledo for many years after she came back to Toledo to care for her parents, Franklyn and Fern (Zeigler) Maunz who preceded her in death.

Graveside services for Phyllis will be 11 a.m. April 28, 2026, in Section 36 at Calvary Cemetery. Anyone planning to attend should meet at the Parkside Gates. She will be buried with her family in Calvery Cemetery Toledo, Ohio.

Funeral services were entrusted to Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio.
