Phyllis Maunz

Phyllis Ann Maunz age 85 of Toledo, Ohio died January 22, 2026, in Orchard Villa Nursing Home Oregon, Ohio. Phyllis was born in Detroit, MI. She was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Toledo Ohio, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Education from Mary Manse College. Phyllis received her master's degree in religious studies from Aquinas College and taught for many years in Swanton, Ohio.

Phyllis was very intellectual and she had a great sense of humor. She was faith filled and dedicated to the Catholic Church. Phyllis lived to give service to others and cared for the homeless of Toledo for many years after she came back to Toledo to care for her parents, Franklyn and Fern (Zeigler) Maunz who preceded her in death.

Memorial services for Phyllis will be planned in the spring. She will be buried with her family in Calvary Cemetery Toledo, Ohio. The family prefers that Memorial contributions be given to Urbanski Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. A link is available on the website.
