Nieves Mendoza age 83 of Erie, Michigan passed away December 18, 2020 in the Toledo Hospital. Nieves was born August 5, 1937 in Thrall, Texas to Max Gallegos and Josephina Ramirez. She married Jose Mendoza August 22, 1955 and together they raised 10 children and 2 grandchildren.
Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years Jose, children, Maria (Nato) Montoya, Carlos (Juanita) Mendoza, Arleen (Joe) Carmona, Justina Mendoza, Abel (Darcie) Mendoza, David (Ayne) Mendoza, Rudy (Kimmy) Mendoza, Ruby (Thomas) Grey, Mary (Chris) Torres, Grandchildren Ricky (Amber) Mendoza, and Nieves (Robert) Perez. Also surviving are her loving brother Manuel (Linda) Herrera along with 27 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 15 great great- grandchildren. Preceding in her death were parents and daughter Alice Ortiz
