Joseph Paul Dumas

Joseph Paul Dumas, age 77 of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away June 2, 2026, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Joe was born August 30, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio, to David and Valeria (Polek) Dumas. A 1966 Central High School graduate, Joe served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Joe retired from CSX railroad in 2008.

Joe's passions included vacations to Fort Myers and Long Beach Island; Scrabble; all things trivia; the Buddy Holly pilgrimages to Clear Lake, Iowa; 50's and 60's music; Notre Dame football; Boston Celtics; Chicago Cubs; his family, but most importantly his grandchildren.

Surviving are his loving wife Linda (Urbanski), children, Ben Dumas, Matt Dumas, Karen (Patrick Perz) Poore, Mark (Sheri) Lindsey, Robert (Andrea Taliga) Lindsey and Michael (Jennifer) Lindsey. Also surviving are his sister Carol Spain, daughter in law, Julia Dumas, son in law, Bill Poore, grandchildren Nathan (Megan), Jordan (Chris), Lindsey (Derek), Cameron, Jackson, Ryan, Max, Charlie, Maggie, Ellie, and great grandchild Charlotte.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents David and Valeria; his brothers David, John, and Jim; and his sister Elaine.

Joe's Life Celebration will be on June 9, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd., Toledo, Ohio.
Visitation will continue at the funeral home, June 10, 2026, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m..
Interment with military honors will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Sylvania, Ohio.
