Jacquelin Susan Ward Garza

Jacquelin Susan Ward Garza age 36 of Toledo, Ohio was taken from her loving family October 19, 2025. Jacquelin was born November 21, 1988, in Toledo and raised by her parents Mary Garza and Steve Place. Jakcie graduated from Libbey High School in 2007. She became a certified State Tested Nursing Assistant and worked as a home health aide around the Toledo area. Jakcie was a great daughter, mother, sister and aunt to her beloved family. Her family was everything to her. Her favorite place was wherever her family was. Jakcie was always on the go. You would never catch her in one spot for too long. The only thing better than being with her family was being with her family in the water at Cedar Point. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her daughter, who was her pride and joy, during movie nights and watching her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. She was part of the women's Tri-County Pool league where she played for Homeboys Sports Bar and Grill. Jakcie enjoyed doing puzzles and was a very talented sketching artist.

Jacquelin is survived by her parents, Mary Garza-Place, Steven (Jenifer) Place Sr., daughter Jaz'Lyn Bennett (James Bennett father), siblings Trisha (Shawna) Ward, Bruce Ward, Emerencia (Ryan) Gardner, Steven (Rebecca) Place Jr., Ricardo Place, J. Donald (Brittany) Place, Gracie (Scott) Davis, David (Jodi) Ward, Godparents Reynaldo (Amy) Pina and Gloria Bureau, nieces Tatiana (Jesus), Milani, Jymeire, Selyseon, Diamond, nephews Trevon, Samuel, Caleb, Campbell, Steven III, Grayson, Ezekiel, Kenneth Fry Jr., Devin, Brent, Carson, Nick, Bentley, Jaxon, Liam, Jesse, Riley great nephews Ignacio, Keaton, great niece Marcelina, uncles Salvador (Kelly) Garza Jr., Harry McKinney, David Troutman, aunts Maria (Nick) Wohn IV, Terri Webb, Julie (Lance) Izsak, Christina Rodriguez, Stacy McCann, Gracie (Randy) Peeker, Cheryl Troutman great aunts Anita Garraway, Jackie (Mike) Govito, favorite cuzzos, Lisa, Frank (Amiee), Alex, Nick V, Ashleigh (Jesus), Brittany (Eloy), Sal (Nicole) III, Gabrielle (Broc), Alicia, Cieara (Rickey), Raquel, Alexis, Rey (Riley) II, Desirae, Lucia, Johnathan, Carl Jr., Briana (Steve), Russell, Raphael, Veronica, Justin, Shane. friends, dear to Jacquelin are Scooby best friend, Yolanda, Dakota, Demar, Stephanie. Also surviving is her beloved and faithful dog Pe'Nelope.

Preceding her in death are her grandmother, Patricia Pina, father Terry Ward, uncles Ricardo "Ricky" Pina and Max Pina, aunts Lucia Pina, Maria and Julia Garza, nieces Destiny Magana, Samara Braun and childhood friend Joshua VanHoy.

Our entire family is grateful for the outpouring of support and love we have received during this terrible situation and loss. Her legacy of love, strength and joy will live on in all who knew her.

Jacquelin's Life Celebration will be Saturday November 1, 2025, from 2 pm until 7 pm at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio. Visitation will continue Sunday November 2, from 1 pm until the Funeral Service begins at 2 pm at the funeral home.
