Gwendolyn Faye Smith

Gwendolyn Faye Smith age 17 of Temperance, MI passed away suddenly Saturday June 14, 2025. Gwen was born in Summerville, S.C. on September 21, 2007, to Levi Smith and Laura (Lyons) Smith.

 Gwen was a recent graduate of Bedford Senior High School where she excelled in the instrumental music department. She was a vibrant, creative, yet goofy person who had a deep passion for all to be happy. In school she was active with the Bedford Kicking Mules Marching Band, Varsity Band, Jazz Band and participated in solo and ensemble and state festivals and was also a member of the bowling team. She was very talented and played different instruments.

 She will be missed by her family, friends and all that have had contact with her. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Roosevelt “Ted” Lyons. She is survived by her father Levi (Heather) Smith, mother, Laura ( Matthew) Kennerson , grandparents Linda (Robert) Lyons-Paul , William and Denise Cox and Steven and Candace Crawford, siblings Jasmine, Alexander, Scott and Freya. Also surviving are many community members she chose to call family.

 One of Gwen's favorite things in the Marching Band was the Friday night lights at the stadium. To honor Gwen, there will be a Celebration of her Life on Thursday June 26, 2025, in the Bedford Football Stadium beginning at 8:00 p.m.
