Elwanda "Frankie" Rogers was born on February 18, 1952, in Little Rock Arkansas, to Thelma and Nathaniel Rogers. She passed away on April 25, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio.

Frankie's family moved to Toledo, Ohio when she was four years old. As a child, she was full of energy and curiosity. She wasn't afraid of anything and was always willing to accept a challenge. She didn't bother fighting girls and wouldn't hesitate when it came to fighting boys, winning more than she lost. She could run like the wind and had the most beautiful singing voice that anyone could imagine.

Frankie was a woman who was truly content with keeping her own company. She spent most of her adult life doing whatever it was that Frankie wanted to do. She was as stubborn as anyone could be. She was not anti-social; however, in her late teens, she experienced a change that no longer allowed her to be the Frankie we knew growing up. The love we all shared for Frankie never diminished. What changed for our family was the way we needed to support her.

Frankie had a spirit of giving. This sweet generosity continued even upon her passing. Her final gift as an organ donor will help save and improve the quality of life for others.

Frankie was preceded in death by her parents. She was loved and will be missed by five sisters and two brothers, Nadeline Jones (Charles), Rose Watkins, Jackie Oliver, Doreen Rogers, Nathaniel Rogers Jr (Xeatha), Cleveland Rogers (Donna), Marquitta Rogers, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. is assisting the family.
