Darlene Renae Molloy

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Darlene Renae (Lisek) Molloy, who left this world on January 3, 2026, at the age of 55, in her parents’ home in Petersburg, MI, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 27, 1970, in Monroe, MI, Darlene was the cherished daughter of Edward and Donna (Williams) Lisek and a proud graduate of Ida High School.

For many years, Darlene embraced her role as a bank teller, connecting with each person she served. Her spirit thrived in the great outdoors; she found joy in hiking the Ouachita and Rocky Mountains and cycling through nature’s embrace. Creative and independent, she designed her own home and was also the author of a children’s book called NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE BUS!!! While living in Arkansas, Darlene spent a lot of time gardening and baking, two things she truly enjoyed. She was happy to share both her plants and baked goods with family and friends. 

Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents and a brother lost before birth. Yet, she leaves behind a legacy of love and connection. She is survived by her treasured daughter, Kameron Molloy, her devoted parents Ed and Donna Lisek, her loving sister Connie (Chris) Sexton, her adoring nephews Patrick (Ella) and Garrett Sexton, and her four-legged hiking pal Piper.

 Family and friends are invited to celebrate Darlene’s life in a gathering at the Urbanski Bedford Funeral Chapel, located at 8300 Lewis Ave, Temperance, MI. on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., where heartfelt funeral services will begin at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Darlene’s memory to ‘Friends of Lake Ouachita Inc’, 3812 Hwy 270 East, Mt. Ida, AR 71957.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home at 5055 Secor Rd, Toledo, Ohio. As we remember Darlene, let us carry forward her free spirit, creativity, and love for the outdoors. May her memory be a blessing to us all.
