Colette Renee Nowak, age 67 of Toledo, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday May 12, 2024. Colette was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 13, 1957, to William and Jennie (Addes) Mominee. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1975. She received her Associate’s degree from the University of Toledo. Colette was in the medical field of cardiology for many years and moved on to be a Licensed Massage Therapist. In 1981, she married the love of her life Dave, and enjoyed 41 wonderful years together. They were blessed with 3 children, Ashley, David and Stephen. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of The Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Colette was a kidney transplant recipient in 2021. She enjoyed family camping trips and traveling in Northern Michigan. Colette loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Tigers and was a Disney fanatic. Her greatest joy was creating memories with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dave, parents, brother Bill, brother-in-law Salvatore Cellura and her mother and father-in-law Verna and Stanley Nowak. Colette is survived by her children Ashley (Matthew Perez) Nowak, David John (Natasha) Nowak and Stephen (Jessica) Nowak, grandchildren Jacob, Kaylee, Avarie and Lochlan, and siblings JoAnn Cellura, Jerome (Cathie) Mominee, brother-in-law Fred (Jean) Nowak and sister-in-law Linda Mominee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her fur babies, Walter Thomas and Simon the cat. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio on Monday May 20, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where a scripture service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be Tuesday May 21, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in The Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 2240 Castlewood Toledo, Ohio where the funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
