Ronald P. Charney Sr.

Ronald P Charney Sr. age 87 of Toledo Ohio passed away March 4, 2024, in his residence. Ron was born in Ford City, Pennsylvania on October 24, 1936, to Geraldine (Stitt) Charney and John Charney. Ron and his family moved to Toledo when he was 10 and graduated from Woodward High School. He worked at AP Parts and was elected financial secretary of U.A.W Local 14. Later he started his own insurance agency Charney Insurance in Toledo for 20 years. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed playing his lucky numbers in the Lotto. Ron was married only once; he lost the love of his life in 1983. Ron loved spending time with his son Ron Jr. and his grandchildren Maxwell, Elliot and Daniel and great grandchild, Bennett Alan Charney. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, parents and siblings John Charney and Sally Albain. He is survived by his son Ron Charney Jr.; three grandchildren and one great grandchild and siblings Helen Charney, Roseann Vogel, and Joanne Arvanitis. Memorial services for Ron will be held on May 11, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Sylvania Moose Lodge. Urbanski Funeral Home 5055 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio assisting with arrangements.
