Kathleen Clark Thiffault, native of Toledo, Ohio, former human resources professional, relentlessly positive cancer survivor, and fiercely loyal friend to many people in many places, passed away Feb. 5, 2024, at her home in Cincinnati after a long illness. She was 61 years old.

Kathleen was born May 7, 1962, to Lawrence I. Clark, Jr., and Janet (Morman) Clark. She graduated in 1980 from Ottawa Hills High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in 1983. She held several positions during her career, including vice president of human resources for Citigroup, before encountering a series of health conditions.

She moved to Cincinnati in 1980. She met the love of her life Robert “Bob” Thiffault, a transplant from Boston, in 2002. They married in 2016.

Kathleen’s survivors include her parents, her husband, a sister Mary Pat (the late Greg Piasecki) Clark, and two brothers Joseph (Milissa) Clark and Lawrence (Kaiyu) Clark, lll. She was the proud aunt of Maezhen Clark of Delaware, Ohio.

Memorial Services
Kathleen’s Life Celebration will be Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, from 3 pm until 7 pm at Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd., Toledo, Ohio. Visitation will continue Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at 11 am in Gesu Catholic Church until the Funeral Mass begins at noon with Fr. Brian Lehane, SJ presiding. Interment will be Tuesday February 20, 2024, at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery Kalida, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to one of these organizations that Kathleen supported and admired: the Paula Bonfert Memorial Scholarship Fund in Hebron, KY, the American Field Service, Hospice of Cincinnati, the American Cancer Society, or the Tug McGraw Brain Tumor Foundation.
