Dennis E. Sullivan
January/16/1951 - February/2/2024

Dennis E. Sullivan age 73 of Toledo passed away on February 2, 2024. Dennis was born January 16, 1951, to John and Jean (Fisher) Sullivan. He met the love of his life, Sharon Foster, while they were both department managers at the Ontario Department Store in Toledo. He later worked for the City of Toledo for 37 years, 25 of those being at the Collins Park water treatment plant. Dennis loved sharing stories of his years playing softball and umpiring baseball and softball. “Mr. Sullivan” loved coaching basketball, soccer and baseball at Regina Coeli School. One of his favorite things was being one of Santa’s Helpers, which he did for many years. He will be remembered for having a joke to tell everyone he met.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a son. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Sharon, daughter, Stacie (Eric) Cook, son, Dennis Sullivan, grandchildren Eric Jr. and Amber Cook, Peyton Teagan and Tarynn Sullivan, brother, Thomas (Nancy) Sullivan, sister, Theresa (Larry) Sampson. and countless nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Some people are sent from heaven, and we can’t explain why. We want to thank our four angels- Lori Olney (his at-home nurse), Mike Guziolek (his physical therapist), Gary Stoll and Pat Patton. They comforted Sharon and pushed Dennis when he needed it.

Memorial Services
Dennis’s Life Celebration will be Thursday February 8, 2024, from 2pm until 8pm at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio where a Scripture Service will be held at 7 pm. Visitation will continue Friday February 9, 2024, from 10 am until 11 am in Regina Coeli Church where the Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am with Fr. Robert Reinhart presiding. Interment will be private, at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Diabetes Youth Services 2100 W. Central Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43606 or The Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio 3100 W.
