Carole L. Schuch

Carole L. Schuch, of Toledo, OH, was received into her Lord's arms on January 7th, 2024, at The Lakes of Sylvania Nursing Home. A loving wife and mother, she was intensely devoted to her family and loved by all who knew her.
Born in 1933 in Duluth MN, she was the youngest daughter of Beatrice (Holmes) Sutherland. After graduating high school in 1951, she made a visit to her sister in Toledo, where she was set up on a blind date - and met her future husband, Paul. They were married in 1952 in Lyons, OH and made their permanent home in Toledo to begin their family. Their union was blessed with 4 wonderful children.
Carole was a homemaker, but also worked outside the home to help raise her family. She was known as an excellent seamstress and made beautiful clothes. Later in life she participated in craft shows and sold items such as Christmas tree skirts, baby blankets, teddy bears, stuffed bunnies, and crocheted dish rags. Each item was made with love in every stitch! Carole also used her sewing talents to make lap quilts for Quilts of Compassion and enjoyed the fellowship with many of its members. She loved animals and later in life she chose to rescue and adopt two fur babies, first "Millie" then "Baby", both teacup poodles. Their companionship was full of love and devotion and brought joy into her life.
Carole was a faithful member of Fairgreen Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, serving as an elder.
Carole is survived by her children, Christine Schuch of Avondale, AZ, Carolyn Schuch of Toledo, OH, Dr. Joseph (Vivian) Schuch of Goodyear, AZ, and Connie (James) Moore of Toledo, OH; grandson Jason Schuch; great-grandson Jayson Ezekiel Schuch; granddaughters Shelly Bowers and Kylie Schuch; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, husband Paul E. Schuch, and sisters Joanne Protz and Lois Sutherland.
Any memorial contributions may be made to Fairgreen Church or the Toledo Humane Society.

Memorial Services
Carole's Life Celebration will be held at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo Ohio, Sunday January 14, 2024, from 3 pm until 7 pm. Visitation will continue Monday January 15th in Fairgreen Presbyterian Church 3220 West Laskey Rd. Toledo, from 10 am until the Funeral Service begins at 11 am.
