Suzanne Heaps, age 74, passed away on November 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born on August 11, 1949, in Toledo, OH to Joseph and Christine Wiezbenski. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1967. Sue married Hugh Heaps on April 24, 1971, at Saint Hedwig Church in Toledo. She worked at Owens Corning for 35 years until her retirement.

Sue enjoyed cooking, organizing, and took great pride in her home and garden. Sue spent most of her time taking care of others. She and her family enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC. She will always be remembered as an amazing Wife, Mother, Grammy, daughter, sister, Aunt, and friend. She loved all of her family very much. She will be missed by all who knew her. She gave the best hugs and you couldn’t leave her without getting one.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Hugh Heaps in 2020, she is survived by her mother, Christine Wiezbenski, children, Joey (Stephanie) and Jennifer (Neil) Price; grandchildren Delaney, Finley, and Grady, brothers Kenny Wiezbenski (Janis); Kevin Wiezbenski (Mary); sister Sheryl Harold. Sue is also survived by her husband’s loving family and many dear friends. Also proceeding her in death were her father Joseph and sister Sandy.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses that helped her the last several months. Her family would also like to thank the team at Toledo Hospital who made her comfort and care a priority in her final days there.
The family requests that any donations be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
