Barb Moon (Barbara Ann Bristow also Barbara Park)
April/23/1944 - October/2/2023

Barbara Moon (nee Barbara Ann Bristow, also Barbara Park)
On Oct. 2, 2023, Barb Moon left her tough but broken body here on Earth for a fully restored body and reunions with loved ones that preceded her. For those that knew Barb, you know that those loved ones included as many dogs as people. The oldest daughter of Bob and Marge (Michaelis) Bristow, Barb was born on April 23,1944 in Toledo, OH, and grew up in houses on Secor, Reynolds and Garden Rds. as well as attending school at Maumee
Valley Country Day School. After marrying her first husband, Don Park, she lived in various cities in the NE Ohio area and raised 2 children, Andi and Corey. Barb and her second husband, Bob Moon, moved to Florida in 1984 and spent many sunny days golfing, sailing and traveling in their RV. An avid animal-lover, Barb always had at least one dog as well as horses. Many years of her life she had horses in her backyard and loved to ride. She was a dog trainer as well as a drug dog handler for South Florida schools. Barb grew up owning multiple Dalmatians, transitioned to a Labrador fan, lastly became a huge lover of Australian Shepherds and is survived by her beloved Aussie, Jolene. In 2004, Barb suffered a near-fatal bleeding aneurysm and subsequent stroke that kept her in the hospital for 45 days as well as being left with permanent damage to the right side of her body. After moving to an assisted living facility in the Ft. Lauderdale area, Barb and Bob continued to enjoy trips in their RV as well as spending time with Corey’s family in the area. She had 2 more brain bleeds on 9/26/23 that led to her death. Barb is survived by her sister Joyce Winget (Morgan), brother Bill Bristow (Bobbie), daughter Andrea Cherry (John), son Corey Park, former daughter-in-law Kelli Park, her grandchildren, Alexis and Derik Jacobsen, Andrew Cherry, Hailey, Logan and Jacob Park as well as her twin great grandsons, Tyler and Asher. Additionally, she is survived by many loving members of her husband Bob’s family, niece Patti Smith MacDonald, stepdaughter Debra Mihacy and her wonderful family, stepson Mike Moon and his daughter Riley and Bob’s many other grandchildren. We know that her heavenly welcoming committee included her parents, Bob and Marge Bristow, husband Bob Moon, stepchildren Steve and Marilyn Moon, brother-in-law Morgan Winget, friends Don Park and Alixe McNeill Park along with too many dogs to count. Memorial services for Barb will be Saturday December 16, 2023 at Providence Lutheran Church 8131 Airport Hwy Holland, Ohio where the family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Fort Meigs cemetery.
