Dorothy Lucille Ryan age 96 of Toledo, Ohio passed away October 11, 2023, in the Franciscan Care Center Sylvania, Ohio. Dorothy was born December 31, 1926, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Edwin and Marjorie (Fields) Womack.

An extraordinary homemaker, Dorothy dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs above her own. Her attention to detail and knack for organization made her a true perfectionist, ensuring that every aspect of her home was pristine and inviting.

In her younger years, Dorothy found joy in roller skating. She had a sharp and agile mind, often challenging herself with crossword puzzles, which she would eagerly solve during quiet evenings. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and she delighted her loved ones with her homemade bread and mouthwatering pies. Each bite was a testament to her dedication and love for her craft as she poured her heart and soul into every recipe.

Surviving are her loving husband of 75 years, John, children, Glenn (Rhonda) Ryan, Karen (Gary) Ericson and Patricia (Michael) Tatti. Also surviving are five grandchildren Shandra Lees, Adrianna Tatti, Ryan (Melanie) Tatti, Jennifer (Brian) LeClair and Jocelyn (Michael) Merchant along with 5 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and grandson John R. Ryan.

Memorial Services
The family will be receiving friends Thursday October 19, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church 4100 Harvest Lane Toledo, Ohio 43623, where the funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Church with Fr. Chris Hudgin officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Sylvania, Ohio.
