Catherine "Cathy" P. Lambert
August/1/1953 - September/15/2023

Catherine “Cathy” Pauline Lambert, 70 moved on to her heavenly home on Friday, September 15th, 2023. Cathy was born on August 1st, 1953, to Stephen and Evelyn Jeziorowski in Toledo, Ohio. Cathy was always devoted to her Catholic faith. She was raised in the Polish Village in North Toledo “Lagrinka” where she grew up a parishioner of St. Hedwig Parish, along with attending St. Hedwig Grade School. Cathy would later attend Central Catholic High School, and then graduated from Whitney High School in 1971. Cathy continued her education at the University of Toledo. One activity that Cathy was always proud of at UT was being a dancing Rockette. During her schooling Cathy would work as a unit clerk at Toledo Hospital.
In 1978 Cathy married Jim Lambert and would soon after raise a family. Jim and Cathy had three children: Matt, Monica and Michael. She enjoyed being part of her children’s sporting events such as baseball, gymnastics, and track. For leisure Cathy would make ceramics, make chocolate suckers, and bake cakes; and she also enjoyed collecting nativities. She took pride in bringing up her children in the Catholic faith; and with her mom Evelyn and Brother John, would host an annual pilgrimage to Carey, Ohio to pay homage to the Blessed Mother for many decades. Another part of parish life that Cathy loved was helping make pierogis for the annual Lagrange Street Polish Festival, along with manning the polish baked goods booth with her children.
In 1999 Cathy started working in the office at St. Hedwig as a secretary and would do so for six years. She also began volunteering as a sacristan of the parish, which was a position she absolutely admired doing by taking care of the Lord’s House and would do so for the rest of her life at Saints Adalbert & Hedwig. While at Saints Adalbert & Hedwig, Cathy would do the laundry and ironing, distribute communion, read at Mass, help with counting, was a member of Parish Council, member of the Altar Rosary Society, and even contributed to decorating the church for Easter, Christmas and other occasions. Cathy also brought communion to parishioners who were homebound and in nursing homes. Lastly, Cathy also volunteered at the Chapel at St. Vincent Hospital, along with helping at St. Michael Parish in North Toledo.
Cathy is survived by her children Matt (Ashley) Lambert, Monica (Jason) Hamman, and Michael Lambert, along with her Grandchildren Grace Lambert and Ava Hamman. She is also survived by her brother John (Luz) Jeziorowski, Nephews Joseph, Johnny, David, and Niece Katie Jeziorowski. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Evelyn Jeziorowski, and Husband James Lambert.
