Nancy Jo Zawisza
April/28/1947 - August/14/2023

Nancy Jo Zawisza, age 76 of Toledo passed away Monday at Kingston of Sylvania. Nancy was born in Toledo on April 28, 1947, to Budd and Aileen (Navarre) Dale. She married her husband John on May 1, 1970, and raised their four children in West Toledo. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, doting mother, and devoted grandma. Her faith and family were the most important parts of her life. All the memories with friends and family on Almeda Drive filled her with happiness and joy.

Nancy enjoyed reading books and chatting with her friends in her free time. She had a real passion for Christmas, whether it was finding the impossible toy for one of the kids, watching the Hallmark Channel Christmas specials all year, or giving a new Hallmark ornament to each family member. Nancy also enjoyed baking and the detail she put into those holiday cookies was truly special. Her favorite hobby was supporting her children and grandchildren in all their activities. She was their #1 fan. Whether it was making crafts, coloring, playing with toys, or using her big imagination, Grandma was always ready to make memories.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, sister Tammie Lampley, and brother David Dale. She will be greatly missed by her children, John J. (Katie) Zawisza, Daniel (Andrea) Zawisza, Chris (Nicki) Zawisza and Lori (Mike) Kaminski, and grandchildren Travis, Ashley, Isabella, Luke, Evan, Sydney, Addison, Ava, Piper, Beckett, and Brooks as well as lifelong friends Connie, Debbie, and Kathy. Our family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home at 5055 Secor Rd., Toledo, Ohio on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial Services
Our family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home at 5055 Secor Rd., Toledo, Ohio on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
