Bernard "Bernie" Pemberton, Jr.

Bernard “Bernie” Pemberton, Jr., age 74, passed away July 19, 2023, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Bernie was born in Toledo on June 7, 1949, to Bernard and Mary Pemberton, Sr. Bernie attended Macomber High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Libbey Glass in 2012. Bernie loved and enjoyed golfing, scoring three holes-in-one during his lifetime. For over 25 years, he travelled to Myrtle Beach to play in the Global Amateur Golf Tournament. He was also a Boston Red Sox fan.

Bernie was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen, both parents and brother, George. He is survived by sisters-in-law, Ruth (Louis) Lesinszki, Margaret (Richard) Gerschultz, Sue Toczynski, Jan Toczynski, seven nieces and nephews: Lynn, Anne, Jennifer, Nick, Kevin, Kyle and Craig, godchild Mandy Hugo, special friend, Barb Thompson Bell, and canine, Mookie.

Memorial Services
The family will receive friends in Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Road, Toledo, Ohio on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until services begin at 12:30 p.m. Burial of his cremated remains will follow in Calvary Cemetery Toledo, Ohio. Memorial contributions in Bernie’s name may be made to the Toledo Humane Society.
